I'm having a difficult & frustrating time with FCK.  Running DNN3.2.2 (on both my dev server and my hosted WH4L site), and installed FCK 1.00.07 on both.

On my dev, I had to change the image folder in the "Other Editor Options" in the Custom settings (the default is the root folder), and was able to upload and/or insert a small jpg I'd made--5k 100x100.

On my wh4l site, I made the same change.  When I try to upload that jpg, I get a "Invalid File Type" box with a "OK" button.  When I try to browse the server, it looks in the "\" root folder, sees nothing--folders, files, anything!

Checking the log, I find the following error:

AssemblyVersion: -1
Method:
FileName:
FileLineNumber: -1
FileColumnNumber: -1
PortalID: -1
PortalName:

I've been thru all the settings and can't find the cause.  Is this because DNN is installed in a folder on my host?  Whereas on my dev server, the DNN folder IS the root folder??

I hope someone will lend some insight soon, before I rip out the rest of my hair, PLEASE?

I am not sure, if FCKEditor provider 1.0.7 has been tested with DNN 3.2.2, there have been adptions added for the new file system of DNN 3.3.0+. Either use a previous version of the Editor provider or upgrade to latest version of DNN.

Cheers from Germany,

Sebastian,

Thanks for the input.  FCK1.0.7 works ok on my dev server (also running DNN3.2.2), just not on my hosted site.  I noticed that even when I change the directory (Instance, Module, Portal) and save the settings, it always wants to show the contents of the "\" root folder (though nothing shows up in the box).  Then DNN logs an error, as above, except with the new folder name that I changed it to.

Guess I'm stuck with less desirable choices for a resolution!
