We are running DNN 4.8.1 (this happened on 4.8 as well) and have been running into issues where FCK can't see folders or file that are visible in the file manager.  Checking file manager and the server folder themselves confirms the folders are there.  All accounts are either Host or Admin accounts.

We even get different results for different logins.  Some logins see more than others but are both Admins or both Hosts.  It seems to be portal to portal.  All sites are parent portals.  Our DNN installation is on the root of the server D:\DNN

  • did you perform a recursive sync in admin :: file manager?
  • notice as well, that files visible at Host :: File Manager are not visible inside modules.

Yes, many many times.

Yes, and we see this logged in as Admin as well.  Sometimes with different results on seperate Admin accounts on the same portal.

in this case I assume there are issues with special characters (like ' ) in Folder or file names or duplicate / orphaned entries. I suggest to check out the content of Files and folders table manually in your database.
