I am having a strange problem with the FCK Editor when creating new Rich Text fields in the core profile. (at least I think it's the editor)  When data is entered into the field it is saved in the following manner:

<p>Some text in the profile field</p>

I found this out by changing the field from Rich Text to a Text field and it displayed as posted above surrounded by the <p> - the strange thing is that it does not happen with the standard Biography field that comes standard with the profile, it only happens with fields that I create.

I am displaying the fields using the Smart-Thinker user profile module, and the Biography field displays fine, but all of the Rich Text fields I have created have a <cr> before the text is diplayed.  I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on how to correct this!

Thanks,
Steve

did you reference FCK editor directly or use texteditor control?

Hey Sebastian - thanks for the response!

I simple went in to the following

Admin>User Accounts>Manage Profile Properties>Add New Profile Property>

When I created the new profile field I selected RichText from the drop down.

Thanks!
Steve

it looks like there is an extra html encoding configured, which needs to be removed. please log this issue into the public issue tracker, in order it gets vaidated and can be fixed in one of the next versions. thank you.

If so, how do I post the issue?
