Okay, I now changed the following in Controls > Texteditor.ascx:

<asp:panel id="pnlOption" Visible="False" Runat="server">

Anyways: I guess, I now made a change to the DNN core, right? So it would/could be overwritten with the next update? Can't this be added to the FCKEditor settings?

yes, this IS a change in the core

no, this cannot be added to FCKEditor settings, since it is NOT part of the editor provider.

Post your enhancement suggestion to generally suppress the editor settings in the public issue tracker (2nd from top) at support.dontnetnuke.com.

My DNN site always load Basic Text Box first. where should I change to get all modules to load Rich Text Editor by default?

Thank you!

Thanks,

I'm having the exact same problem in 4.9.4 and it is EXTREMELY irritating. I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the core because:

1. The problem can be easily reproduced in multiple browsers and machines with different settings.

2. This problem did not exist in the previous versions.

Could the core team look into this? I personally think this problem should be examined thoroughly since it greatly reduces usability. I'll also do some more research on my local machine and will come back if I find anything interesting.
