 I don't have this effect, therefore it is difficult to unveil. I assume there is some personalization problem - but I don't have a clue atm, where to look at.

Did you log the issue into the public issue tracker (2nd from top) at support.dotnetnuke.com? thank you!

I'll log it in Gemini; in the meantime, I'll modify the source code so that Rich text editor is always set to default regardless of user's personalization.

Would you mind teach me how to do that? Thanks.

My problem occurs long time ago. My portal was upgraded few times from 4.5 something, It is really frusturating especially switching between 2 modes will fail to load sometimes.

I think I just reproduced the problem in 4.9.4 by applying custom editor options and changing the custom fckconfig.js.
