Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to have a different default HTML provider for one portal than what is set for all in web.config. I have the Telerik Red Editor (in DNN 5.4.4) set as default in web.config, but I would like for one portal to have the FCKeditor as it's defualt. How can I accomplish this?
Thanks,
Josiah

I don't think this is going to be possible at the Portal level without moving that Portal off to its own separate instance of DNN.

In web.config both of the HTML editors are listed and of course, just one is the default. Is there a way to use the other one?
Lets say I have FCKeditor set as default but I want to utilize the Telerik editor somewhere on a portal. How can I do this?

I am assuming it can be done otherwise why would you even define multiple providers in web.config? I am fairly new to working with web.config so forgive my ignorance if I am unaware of something here.

Some providers, like navigation elements, can be referenced from within the skins. I don't know if you can swap out a text provider in a module, unless the module has been configured to be flexible through the use of ModuleSettings. I don't know of any modules that provide this.

AFAIK there is no mechanism to specify the HTMLEditorProvider to be used on a per portal level. This would require an additional site setting, which would be regarded by the texteditor control, which usually loads the editor provider. There are 3rd party modules, e.g. Nuntio modules from dnnWerk, which have options for specifying the editor to use internally, but AFAIR only to switch between default editor and built in Telerik RAD.
