I'm using FckEditor 01.00.06 DNN 4.3.5.

I'm using the DNN Forum and want to Registered Users to be able to upload their pictures to only a specified "public" folder. However, as it stands, they can browse and see all my other images in my portal root.

I also do not want registered users to link to browsed pages on the server since some of these pages are hidden. They should only be allowed to type in a URL and have it open a new window.

These issues present security/privacy risks. The registered users should only have 1 folder (and sub folders) they can upload it.

Any recommendations with steps is greatly appreciated!

You can assign READ WRITE right to each user role and for each folder. This must be assigned under the ADMIN - File manager

After that, users will see content only is they have read access and will be allowed to upload content if they have WRITE permissions.
