Hi,
When you register as a new user, you have the option to edit your "profile"
There is no space left to edit something when the FCKeditor is installed as default editor.
All the space available is occupied by the option-boxes.
I think a new user is confused when he see this.
With regards, Ton Hermes.

PS, Thanks foor this GREAT editor.

Open the editor options page by clicking the Show Custom Editor Options link. Select Module as the settings type, open the 'Other' section and enter in some values for 'Force Width' and 'Force Height'. Click 'Apply' at the bottom.

I have a similar problem using DNNv4.4.0 and FCK v1.0.7

I installed the FCK editor and it works on the usual modules (Text/HTML etc) with the DNNDefault toolbar set.
However, I have several custom user profile attributes.

When a user goes to edit their profile, the error 'Toolbar set "DNNDefault" does not exist' comes up. And you can not access any of the Rich text editors.

To resolve this- I applied the "Default" toolbar set at Portal level. But when I return to profile editor the error doesnt return, but the toolbar takes up the whole space available.
To fix this I try to open the Custom Editor options (so I can set a module level min width and height). However, I get an object null reference exception.

Thoughts? Is this peculiar to DNNv440?

To add to this- the Toolbar not set error occurs ONLY in Firefox. I am running Firefox 2.

Nonetheless, the Object null reference error still occurs when I try to open Custom Editor options.
The error in the logs is below:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Security.Permissions.ModulePermissionController.HasModulePermission(ModulePermissionCollection objModulePermissions, String PermissionKey) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase.CreateChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.EnsureChildControls() at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id, Int32 pathOffset) at System.Web.UI.Control.FindControl(String id) at DotNetNuke.UI.UserControls.LabelControl.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

DNN 4.4 is having a lot of problems with many modules. There is a lot of optimizations inthere, so once it gets ready, a very enhanced DNN will be ready for you. At this moment I cannot recomend anyone to use DNN 4.4.0 in production because I had a lot of problems myself

I use FCKeditor with 3.3.7 and 4.3.7 with FF without any problems

Talking about the toolbars, you have a lot of options, you can create a smaller toolbar, you can expand the size of the editor, or you just can make all toolbars to appear hidden
