I'm trying to install the reports module in my DotNetNuke 04.03.05 installation.

The following is the error I get.

ExceptionSystem.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: An error occurred loading a configuration file: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed. I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to fix the problem / get around it. Any insights much appreciated.

This is a known issue with installing "Dynamically-compiled Modules" such as Reports or the recent versions of Survey (and some other modules). It is an issue with the core module installer, not specific to the Reports module. It was fixed in DNN 4.4 so if you can upgrade to version 4.4 or higher of the DNN core your issue should be resolved. However, if not, and you have the ability to change the "Trust Level" for your site, changing it to "High Trust" will allow the installation to complete successfully. After installing, you CAN reduce the trust level back to "Medium Trust" as the module does run under that security level.

If you are running a dedicated server or on your own machine, changing the "<trust>" element in the web.config file to "High" should resolve the issue. If you are running on a shared hosting plan, you will have to contact your hosting provider to see if they will allow you to do this.
