how do i write a query which enables me to get birth dates and anniv dates out of the database for the coming week?

I wrote a similar query to find entries that were within the last 2 weeks from a custom defined table:

SELECT [x1], [x2], [xn] FROM [dbxxxxx].[dboxxxxx].[tablename] WHERE ([AnniversaryDateEntryField] >= (GETDATE() - 14))

you can just replace x1-xn with the fields you want returned replace the table name with the users table (users I think) and the Anniversary date field in the table.

That depends on how your database is organized. SQL Server provides functions to get the current date, and you could probably get the current week from that. However, without knowing the structure of the table you want to retrieve data from I don't know for sure.
