In reading the FAQ, the reports module will not accept a parameter from a querystring.  Does anybody know of a module, commercial or free that would accept a parameter from a querystring?  I want to extract data from an SQL select query based on a parameter from a querystring.

I have wanted this for a long time too (then you can put any report or view on a profile). I use Active DB Templates (one of the most handy modules around) and have been requesting this for a long time...  it's such a simple change and makes the module infinitely more useful.

You may also want to checkout Enterprise Forms which has the querystring capabilities.  In the most recent release we have added the capability to connect to external data sources other than the native DNN portal database.  Other supported databases include

  • MS SQL
  • MySQL
  • Oracle
  • PostgreSQL
  • VistaDB
  • Access
