I would like to try my hand at working with the source code in the Reports project.  However, when I try to open the Reports.vbproj file in VS2005 or VS2008 I get the following error:

The imported project "C:\Program Files\MSBuild\MSBuildCommunityTasks\MSBuild.Community.Tasks.Targets" was not found.  confirm that the path in the <Import> declaration is correct and that the file exists on disk.

Of course, it does not exist, nor is it available in the reports module or anywhere else that I can find.  This appears to something that might be critical, but I don't know enough about it to understand what I have to do to get past the error.  Dismissing the error message simply leaves stops the project load process, leaving me with no project open.

Is this something that I should have gotten somewhere along the way?

Thanks in advance for your time in responding to this.

Fuji Nguyen has written a fantastic guide to setting up the Reports Module source.  Note that the guide also includes steps to convert the code from VS 2008 to VS 2005.  If you are using VS 2008, you won't need to follow those extra steps.

The guide is here: http://opensource.indyneinc.com/home/Support/DeveloperExchange/TehnicalArticles/tabid/67/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/20/Default.aspx

Specifically, you need to install the MSBuild Community Tasks (which are used to automatically ZIP up the files and create an installable package for the Reports module: http://msbuildtasks.tigris.org/

Thanks for the assist on this.  The msbuild tasks object was exactly what was needed, and I can now view and investigate the source code.

I appreciate all the work you and the rest of the individual project leads are doing.
