If the Host account is the only one that can connect to the database or set Data Source Settings, then how do I get the reports module to work with a custom query (like against the vendor table) to display on a sub portal?

Thanks, Doug

The Reports module can talk to the database tables and generate reports.

I under stand that is what it is for, my problem is that when I am in a sub portal whe I go to edit settings in the Data Source area I see the following error message:Only Host Users (SuperUsers) are allowed to edit these settings .

So, is only the host web site allowed to use the data source are of the reports module? How do I get around this in a sub portal?

Found the answer!!! Did not realize that the Host account can login to any of the sub portals. So then the Host account can setup the data source area of the reports.
