Hi,

I have set up a report module with an SQL statement and outut works fine.  However, I would like to modify the appearance of the output.  I see that there is a HTML Visualiser that can be used but requires a template - of which I cannot find any - nor a user manual covering the HTML Visualiser / template and how it is used or customised.

Can anybody please advise as to where I can find info on HTML Visualiser / template and use / creation / customisation.

Many thanks,

Steve

Found an answer in forum thread.

1.  Need to first add .html as a valid extension in Host->Settings.

2.  Then created text file with .html extension.  This file is the report template - this contains only the html code that will be injected for each row in the query  :

<h1>[WORK], <I>[SECTION]</I></h1>
<p>[TEXT]</p>

3.  Upload this file as the template.

Works fine!

Hi,

Glad you found an answer!  For your future reference, there is some documentation on all the Visualizers and Data Sources (and other settings) in the DotNetNuke Online Help: http://help.dotnetnuke.com  (though it is by no means 100% complete yet, and there are a few glitches).

Specifically, the page on the HTML Visualizer can be found here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Support/Help/tabid/787/TID/3025/cid/416/Default.aspx
