Dear all, I'm not a DNN expert, but have had my share of struggles with all kinds of environments.

I'm trying to use the reports module to generate html output with some <script> (javascript) tags in there.

For some (most likely security reasons) none of the <script> tags are rendered.

Has anyone an idea on how to render the results (xls report or html) with the <script> tags? Or should I look for another solution?

Thanks in advance.

Joep

How are you trying to inject the script?

 Hi Chris,

I've tried it in 2 different ways. First I created a XSL template (using the XSL visualizer). I was able to get this working with a Google graph. But the google graph does not require a javascript (all details are on the image URL).

When I create the XSL, the transformation is working fine in development tools (e.g. XML cooktop), but as soon as I put the XSL live in DNN, the render result HTML is stripped of all <SCRIPT> tags.

The same situation is also occurring when I use the HTML visualizer, again the template looks great but as soon as it is rendered in DNN, all <SCRIPT> tags are removed.

What I want to do is use the results from my input forms (using Datasprings Dynamic forms) to be presented via the Reports module. I've found a nice slideshow javascript and want to incorporate the form inputs into the slideshow to showcase the selected pictures.

Hope this makes it a bit more clear.

Kind regards

Joep

I modified the DLL to remove that security feature. Use at your own risk, it's safe depending on your specific use case. Message me if you want the DLL.
