I spent some time this weekend looking at the DNNCountryEditControl from the DotNetNuke.dll and the ContryListBox control from the CountryListBox.dll. I'm not going to be able to do any further work on this until at least next week. But, I have a couple questions that I'm posting with hopes that some answers and guidance will help me when I get back to it.

1. Can anybody point me to any documentation on either of these controls?

2. I have a concern about a piece of code in DNNCountryEditControl.vb and request some feedback from somebody familiar with this code file. The DNNCountryEditControl constructor has the following 2 lines of code:

   TextField = ListBoundField.Text
   ValueField = ListBoundField.Text

Without looking into it deeper, it seems to me that the 2nd line should be:

   ValueField = ListBoundField.Value

Can somebody familiar with this code please verify this? It's version 05.01.04. Thanks.

1. AFAIK there is no documentation other than source code.

2. unfortunately, country name is used as value and stored in user profile currently. I agree, this is not an optimal solution and does not help for localization and multilingual sites.
