I used to be able to set the moduleconfiguration.moduletitle to something, but it seems in 5.6.2 it does not work anymore.

Can anyone confirm this?

moduletitle has been moved from modules to tabmodules table in DNN 5.3, which might be the reason for a different behaviour.

Hi Sebastian, just found out it is linked to the modifications made in 5.6.2 through this bug:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=13745&PROJID=2

Is there any other way I can still replace the moduletitle apart from moduleconfiguration.moduletitle?

I expect I'm not the only one who want's to be able to modify the moduletitle dynamically, so I think there might be more people who will have this problem in the future.

Here's how I do it in my ContentDejour Forge module project:

' Code in module Page_Load handler:

' replace module title if so specified in settings

If MyConfiguration.ReplaceTitle AndAlso Not String.IsNullOrEmpty(ContentsDejour(i).Title) Then
Dim ctl As Control = DotNetNuke.Common.FindControlRecursiveDown(Me.ContainerControl, "lblTitle")
If Not ctl Is Nothing Then
                 CType(ctl, Label).Text = title
          End If
End If

I just tested the module in DNN 6.0 CTP3 last night - it and the above code still works well

One problem with setting the ModuleConfiguration.ModuleTitle property (even when it worked) was that it had to be done no later than in the Page_Init handler.
