Hi, I'm building a module with a "Export to word" function, which loads a lot of fields in a table.
The only thing is that it uses the dnn labels: <dnn:label and a .resx file for the label texts.

So if I export to word, you get a lot of missing images and <a href ... etc for the help icon links.

Is there any way to quickly convert the dnn:label's to asp:label while maintaining the label texts from the resx file?

you could load the localisation values manually using Localisation.GetString. Below is an example from the wiki module.

Private Sub LoadLocalization()

            AddCommentCommand.Text = Localization.GetString("StartAddComment", Me.MyModule.LocalResourceFile)
            AllowDiscuss.Text = Localization.GetString("StartAllowDiscuss", Me.MyModule.LocalResourceFile)
            AllowRating.Text = Localization.GetString("StartAllowRatings", Me.MyModule.LocalResourceFile)
            ...

As far as embedding images the best method I've found for generating a word doc is to create a hta file and perform token replacement on it.
