I am having a problem with DotNetNuke 5 (beta).

I have a WAP project that builds my assemblies into DNN/bin folder.

The WAP project also copies my ASCX files into DNN/Desktop/TestModule.

I am having problems using  Host > Module Definitions > Import Module Definition.

I can my ASCX files in the Import Control DropDown list, but nothing seems to happen when I select my ASCX and click the Import link.

My ASCX does not appear the list of available modules.

This all used to work fine on previous releases of DNN. Is there a different way of developing modules using DNN 5?

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Paul.

Paul,

Didi you ever get this issue resolved? I posted the same request yesterday and as usual am averaging ZERO on responses.

Today I noticed your request was out there and it's exactly the same problem. If you have the solution I would be grateful.

Your first step would be to install DNN 5.0.1.

If you've upgraded from the Beta... well you are in trouble.... Maybe try installing DNN 5.0.1 from scratch and importing in the content.

Thanks for the response Alex,

As per my post yesterday... http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/160/threadid/293407/scope/posts/Default.aspx , I'm using 5.0.1 Install not the Beta and have the same problem. I use Michael Washington's instructions for setting up the environment to create modules. (Thx Michael)

I've just downloaded the 5..0.1 source and will try that to see if it works. I've run into this problem a few 4x releases ago but don't remember if I ever had resolved it.
