Dear Friends

I have developed a law related website and i am now running it my localhost.

It takes nearly 10-20 minutes for the load time. It is highly frustrating, and i lose my interest sometimes.

I have done the basic "performance settings" under host settings with compression - GZip and Heavy Caching Enabled.

My website contains nearly 8 custom develped modules, and 16 other modules(both free and commercial modules) and 5 buit in dnn modules.

If anybody could guide me in reducing the load time, it would be of high help to me.

I am desparetly looking an answer for the above problem,

Also nowadays, the queries i post in the dnn forum, i could not find it in "My Post". Here also i dont find any answer by myself

Regards

deepak

How much RAM does your machine have? Heavy caching requires more RAM.

What does machine perfomance say? Check out the critical process using task manager.

Did did you streamline your database? Truncate database transaction log, DotNetNuke eventlog, scheduler history. Turn off sitelog. Clear and rebuild search search index.

Clear recycle bin, use module caching.

Compression is speeding up download time for users behind a thin wire.

How large is the downloaded page. Analyse with Firebug and yslow, check with fiddler.
