How does the new ASP.NET MVC framework fit into the future of DNN?  http://www.asp.net/mvc/

This seems like a good way forward for ASP.NET development. Although MS is saying that this is an alternative to webforms applications, I take it that this is the preferred way forward although they are still supporting Webforms (similar to the dual track of Win 9x and NT codebases).

Microsoft has published a sample application called Oxite that is a blogging application with a CMS framework.  Can some of you DNN developer experts please take a look at this and give me your opinion on how this affects DNN development going forward.  Obviously I am only looking for opinions to hear some conversation about MVC in this context. Thanks.

Yes I did actually.  I assumed that Charles' blog post was not the definitive work on MVC. I think more conversation is in order than that blog.  He says that we have to learn from MVC but says nothing about what we should learn.  What are the challenges of moving to MVC from webforms? Is it something that is one or the other? Can there be a hybrid? Is it possible for the framework to migrate to MVC for all new work?  Is DNN old hat if it doesnt move to MVC while other CMS platforms are sure to spring up based on Oxite and MVC?

@joiseystud

Thanks for bringing this topic up. Actually I'm one of those who were a bit disappointed after reading Charlies' blog, but I do understand it takes time to change.
