Hey,

Im currently trying to develop a module and im using jQuery.

Im trying to take some text from a <p... and put it into a text-field. I can get it to work with an ordinary text-felt (HTML control) but not with a server-side TextBox.

In my source i have:

<asp:TextBox ID="txtValue1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>

but when it is in a browser, DNN translate my id to this:
<input name="dnn$ctr368$jQuery_Ini$txtValue1" type="text" id="dnn_ctr368_jQuery_Ini_txtValue1"

Can somebody tell me what i can do ?
My jQuery will not work, becouse its looking for at field called "txtValue1" and not that looong id

Best Regards

Hi Bjarne,

Use txtValue1.ClientID to get the proper ID to use in jQuery.

Thanks,

Mike
