This may have been asked a few times, but the forum's search capability seems to be timing out tonight..

Is it possible to use an DNN user profile properties directly within a SQL DataSource as a SQL parameter?

For example:

select UserName from Users where UserID=@UserID

What "setting" should I use within the SQL datasource to properly pass the user ID? (Session, Cookie, Control, etc..)

Thanks!

jasen

Hi,

I don't think if you can do this directly, but you can use Selected event of SqlDataSource to assign the paramer value.

Hope this helps

Hi Sebastian,

Any chance you have a (reference to a) small piece of example code? (If this still is the way to go given the date of the post.) Thx.
