Hi People,

How can i write a sql statement in the ASCX file (for the gridview sqlsource statement)
so it uses the {databaseowner}{objectqualifier} injection like when you use thIs:

Dim s as string = "select * from users"
Dim iReader As IDataReader = DotNetNuke.Data.DataProvider.Instance().ExecuteSQL(s)

What i would write is something like thiis:

<asp:SqlDataSource ID="S1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:SiteSqlServer %>" DeleteCommand="DELETE FROM {databaseowner}{objectqualifier}[some_table] WHERE ..."

Try doing something like this:

<asp:SqlDataSource ID="S1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:SiteSqlServer %>" DeleteCommand="DELETE FROM <%=DataProvider.Instance().DatabaseOwner%>[<%=DataProvider.Instance().ObjectQualifier%>some_table] WHERE ..."

Please note my change in the position of the square bracket too. ;)

This does not work, you cant use "<" in a deletecommand string from a sqlsource

(the webpage returns me "Incorrect syntax near '<'"

Try setting the properties of you datasource in the code behind file.  (That is if you are using one.)

What about this?

<asp:SqlDataSource ID="S1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:SiteSqlServer %>" DeleteCommand='DELETE FROM <%=DataProvider.Instance().DatabaseOwner%>[<%=DataProvider.Instance().ObjectQualifier%>some_table] WHERE ...'

Note: change " to '
