I have searched the forums as well as Google looking for an answer to this but no joy. I'm setting up a client site and defined a custom profile property "CompanyName" and they want it included in the new user registration email that gets sent to the Administrator. Does anyone know if this can this be done?

I have reviewed the "Form and List" module documentation which contains the list of Tokens and tried the the token "[Profile:CompanyName]" but it does not seem to work.

Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions.

Chuck

Sebastian, Thanks for the quick reply.  I am running DNN 4.9.5 on Windows Server 2003 Standard.

It turns out that my changes to the Resource entry for the administrator email are not being saved.  Using the Resource Editor I am getting the error "A File Operation Failed. Please Check Resource File Permissions So Files Can Be Edited." when I try to save the resource changes.  I didn't notice this before because the message appears at the top of the screen and the screen doesn't postback.  After clicking Update it appears to save so I was clicking cancel.  I tried both the one on the Admin menu and on the Host menu.

  • I checked permissions and the NETWORK SERVICE account has full permissions to all folders under the root of the DNN installation.
  • I checked to make sure none of the files are set to read only, they are not.
  • The error only occurs when trying to modify the GlobalResources.  I am able to edit SharedResources without the error.
  •

Any ideas the cause of this error?

You appear to have checked all the known culprits.  However, one suggestion, you mentioned you checked that NETWORK SERVICE had permissions at the root and is set to slow inheritance.  Sometimes individual resources folders and files get out-of-sync with the parent settings.  Have you checked the permissions on the file itself.
