I'm trying to get window dialog from aspx pages with user info by using the PageBase inheritance, and getting UserID.

The problem is that whenever I inherit from Framework.PageBase I get the "object not set to .... "  error.   Get the same error with just one control on the page.  Is there more to Inheriting from the PageBase than I think?

Does anyone have any pointers on how to properly make an aspx page inherit PageBase? Whenever I do it, it throws "object not set to the reference" error. Is it even possible to do in DNN?

PS... I'm writing the code in C#, would that matter?

Creating an ASPX page that inherits from Pagebase is possible, I just checked and one of the modules I've developed in the past uses it without trouble.

What version of DNN are you on? There was one issue I believe with 5.4.0 perhaps that had a problem with PageBase?

Do you have the standard OnInit and Page_Load methods in your page?

Chris, Thank you for your reply. I've just upgraded to the latest 5.4.2 from 5.4.1 ... and the issue is the same. I have both OnInit and Page_Load methods on the page, yet still get the DNN page with skin that throws an exception, which is odd. I'm trying to get extra pages showing up through the Iframe while still getting the currently logged in UserID without exposing it as a URL query. I'm not exactly sure what needs to be instantiated, since right now I'm trying to load a blank aspx page and it throws the exception anyway. Any thoughts?
