We're developing a web site using ASP.NET and one feature is managing user uploaded files. We're recommended that DotNetNuke is one of the best file management tools in the DotNet world.

However, we don't want all features of DotNetNuke, specifically, we want the Document Library module only.

Is it possible to embed the module in my own site? Please recommend any document or link. Thank you very much.

Sorry, but you cannot use any modules outside the DNN framework, they rely on the library code, skinning engine, page management, permission system and a couple of other features.

Hi Jason, there are a couple of Tutorials on Module development around, I suggest having a look at "DotNetNuke 5.4 Cookbook", which provides a good intro for module development (and is still up2date)

Hi Sebastian,

I read the "DotNetNuke 5.4 Cookbook", but I didn't find the solution for my site. I saw the "Hybrid site" in the Store of DotNetNuke, I don't understand what's the "Hybrid" meaning here, our site is developed in Asp.net MVC, we have already developed so many partial views, is possible to create a "Hybrid" site to use all the partial views developed and some useful DotNetNuke modules? I am looking forward your answer, thanks.

Best regards

Jason
