After creating a new container extension, on the package edit screen there is no link for "create package".  It works fine for the skin, but not for any container package.  So, how does one create a container package?  Is it possible to downgrade DNN to a version that does work like 5.2.1?  Or am I stuck without being able to create container packages in 5.2.3 until an upgrade fixes the issue?

I have created contianer packages on DNN 5.2.3 I think.

Did you choose a different name for the container (as to the skin)?

Yes, I chose a unique name for the container package.  The skin was called "PC" and the container was called "PCContainer".  When it didn't work, I tried another different name and still didn't get the "create package link", it gives the "delete extension" link which does indeed delete the extension.  I also had it set to container for the type of extension.  I tried with no version number, just default 0.0.0, then tried with 1.1.1 and same result.  I took the same folder, copied it to a different installation with DNN 5.2.1 and the container extension created the same from a "legacy skin", but in DNN 5.2.1 I actually get the "create package" link and was able to create a package after creating the extension.  That's why I assume it is a version specific bug.

Here's what I did on a DNN 5.2.3  and 5.3.1 install

1. I copied a container folder from another install.
2. I used Host > Extensions to create a new Container extension

I do see the "Create Package" link, so I'm not suer what is going on in your case..
