Hi,

I'd like to know if there's a way to programmatically upload files to the document module.  With our current site, we have a build script that uploads a daily build of our software to out site via ftp.  It would be nice if we could do something similar with the Documents module.  Thanks!

I am sure that it can be done, however, I am not aware of all needed script elements at this time.

I can try to look into what SQL is needed to insert the needed db records.

If you don't mind, it would be great if you could.  I think having a way to do it programmatically would be really useful feature, especially for organizations like software houses that need to do daily drops of builds, etc.  Thank you so much!

Ok, here is the easy answer.... If you need the actual scripts I can get them for you.

First you must put the file where you want it.  Then find the id of the folder that you have it put in.

Then you must insert a record into the files table for your specific document.  Make note of the file id that is created.

Then you must insert a record into the documents table for your module.

It isn't pretty but it can be done fairly nicely if needed.

If you have the scripts on hand, we'd love to have them.  If not, we should be able to figure it out ourselves.  Thanks for you help!
