How do i change the default location where a document is uploaded...If i upload a document through the file manager it goes to "Portals\0" directory by default and then i can browse to an appropriate folder. But if i want to goto "portals\default" instead of "Portals\0", how do i do that?...Is it a settings change on the application or code change in dotnetnuke? Thanks in advance.

AFAIK this is a limitation of core URL control, not to provide a default folder. There are plans for substitution in DNN 5.x

The default location of File Manager, cannot be changed, this is not specific to the documents module.

If you want to upload to portals/_default/ you need to use the File Manager provided under host.

Thanks guys for your reply...Let me make sure that i get this correct...If i want to change my default location to something else apart from "Portals\0" (like point it to "admin\security" folder), it is not possible with the current version (4.8)...is that right?
