Anyway for a user to sort the uploaded documents based on category?  Right now it seems to be hard-coded to order based on upload date/time

Actually, the stored procedure orders the document by title.  A feature that should be added to the module is run-time sorting. Clicking on the header text for a column would sort by that field.

Aha, I stand corrected.

If the runtime option is too much effort in the given framework, I would think that a module setup option for sorting priority would be useful.  Failing that, sorting on the category then the title (or category alone) would be more useful than the current setup of sorting on the title.  If I have a 100 docs in the database and a new user comes in, I think he will be more comfortable scanning to a category then looking at the relevant titles as opposed to a forced top down forced read of all titles starting at 'A.'

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the feed back.

Maybe obvious and not exactly what you need, but I currently just handle this by creating several Documents modules on a page, each basically serving as it's own Category.  Of course, this makes the Category column in the Docs module unnecessary, but it's one way to handle until the Docs module is made more robust.
