Hello,

I have configured a "Document" module and added several documents to it.
When I try to download them I get the following error:

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /dotnetnukedev/LinkClick.aspx

I looked for the LinkClick.aspx page but cannot find it.

Help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,

Johan Celis

`LinkClick.aspx is an http handler, that needs to be configured properly in your web.config. Did you manually modify the web.config? Which DNN version are you running? Compare your web.config with release.config, look for Linkclick and copy over this line of configuration, if it differs.

Hello,

I'm running version 5.4.2.
I have not configured anything in the web.config.

Probably missed that bit during the installation and configuration.
What should I change in the web.config?

thanks,

Johan Celis

I see that you are running under ASP.Net 4.0. Try the making the following changes within the
<System.webServer>
      <handlers> . . . </handlers>
</System.webServer>

section of your site web.config:

Change any occurance of the attribute

preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv2.0"

to

preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv4.0"

or else remove the attribute and value completely. This same issue affects the handler for the DNN captcha control.
