I have set up a document module, and I selected a folder from the default folder drop down list. When I go to upload a document, the default folder says "Root" again. What is the point in this? I am trying to simplify the process for end users in our building by setting a default folder for each department, but I am sure that if it defaults to "Root", they will inevitably forget to choose the target folder that it SHOULD be uploaded to.

Is there a way to set up the default folder so all they have to do it select the file they want to upload? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if this issue been addressed yet? I seem to recall seeing someone post about a fix but it involved editing the source and recompiling the module. This is a bit beyond my abilities, but it seemed like a pretty simple fix (changing the capitalization of a variable if I remember correctly).

It's working correctly for me.
DNN 5.5.0
Documents 4.1.0

I created a folder called Bulletins (directly under Root) and kept the default folder permissions.

It appears there is a bug in the module.  The module fix is not an easy one for the casual user to correct, but to get around it, your folder cannot contain the character 'A' in it, if it does, the default folder will be root.

This issue has been outstanding since Feb. 2009.  Here is the topic.  I will bump the original post so the moderators can look into this.
