I just downloaded the 5.0.0 documents source code(I figured start with the newer stuff as it's probably setup to work with dnn6),

When I try to open up the vs.net project in vs 2010, it says that it is under source control and can't be opened. I tried switching off source control in the options and it doesn't stick the next time I try to open it.

I removed the source control part of visual studio(in add/remove programs)
, but that just made it worse

I'm wanting to make something that will allow users to rate each document, and leave comments about them.

I"m somewhat of a noob when it comes to visual studio though so maybe this is an easy fix.

there are a number of issues in the package, I will try to get an updated version posted. However, removing the reference should solve your issue, you may need to reopen the solution afterwards.

Do you happen to have the updated release?

Because I got past the errors for the source control, but now when I try to compile I get 7 errors/11 warnings

Most are this error(which will probably fix the warnings)

1. 'ListSortDirection' is not a member of 'Component Model'
2. 'GetLocalizedText' is not declared. It may be unaccessible due to it's protection level

I'm on 64bit OS if that makes any difference

it's very hard to program when you have a newborn baby so if I babble here that is why..
