Posted subject/thread DOCUMENTS MODULE | ADD NEW DOCUMENT | OBJECT REFERENCE NOT SET TO AN INSTANCE OF AN OBJECT in Community Exchange. Add new document is not working after I upgraded to DNN7.1. Perhaps it occurd allready in a reusing database after connecting in a clean install of DNN 6.0.5. from latest DNN5. It is now becomming an issue because I used import xml function. The skin and containers I'm using areDark Knight, modified by css and changed images.

So if I understand you right the issue coused on the post of an Import of a XML file.  This Looks as an property is missing in the XML file.  I am not sure, but there are some other questions.  Are the version of the exported file and the Import file are the same?  Did you use the last Documents module?

I'm sorry. No, the import xml is working fine. The Add New document gives the mentioned error.

Could you please check the eventlog in your DNN instance for more detailed error message?

It looks like error 1e and 2e prevent loding the skin for the add new document interface logged in error 3.
