I recently upgraded my DNN install to 7.2.2 and now all of my pages with Documents modules are crashing with the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." This seems to happen only if the linked file is a reference to a file on the site. If I create a page, add a Documents module, and add a reference to an external file (ftp), the page displays fine. Is this a known issue? Any suggestions?

BTW, I had version 5.0 of the Documents module on the site. I upgraded to 6.0 that I found on codeplex, but still no luck. Is there something I can changed in the DB to prevent this?

Thanks,

John

While logged in as host user, please check the Admin -> Events Viewer for any related errors that might have been logged and post your findings here.

Have did you upgrade to Documents 6.0.1 (which is also available on CodePlex) or was it 6.0.0 ?

Also, from what version did you upgrade to DNN 7.2.2 ? Were there any errors during the upgrade?

I upgraded from 7.0.1 to 7.3.1 and got the 404 - File or directory not found error when clicking on the Download link. There is no error generated in the Events log.   A work around to get a file to download, is to go into edit each specific item and enable "Force download?" by checking the box.
