I am trying to set up a way for customers to download software patches and updates using the documents module. I have adjusted the max upload size in the web.config and am able to upload large files on the site. However, when a user tries to download a larger file (~300MB), I get an error 'System.OutOfMemoryException' from IIS 6.0. I just want a link to download the file and it seems like DNN is trying to load the file into memory. Has anyone been able to download large files from this module or found a workaround for the 'System.OutOfMemoryException'?

FYI:  Your post is not being ignored - I've reviewed the code in the core & verified the problem and have raised this issue in the the module leads forum for review by the core team & other team leads.  In the meantime, I'd suggest changing the url type to "link", and using a full url, assuming your're not using secure storage.
