Well the main part I changed was the file download in linkclick - all our files are public access but I have a lot of people who maintain  the info. I wanted the people who maintain the info to only be able to upload and see certain folders in the filesystem so I set them to see and upload only those files. I found that this ment no anon users could download files so I marked out that part of the linkclick/download code - the other change was a change in the presentation of the url control for my users to make it look a little more like a windows explorer (easier for them to find and pick files.

Those are the two major changes I have made and not hard to move them over to a new version but just a pain

Yes, it has been reported as fixed in 4.3.5 (I cannot verify this, as I do not experience the problem on my PC).

Negative, we still have numerous issues with the document module and downloading in 4.3.5 and 3.4.5, not only with .pdf but also .txt and .xls. ; both with is6 and firefox. Investigating. (of course we have set the proper rights in the file management).
