Hi,
I have upload a big file via ftp. The size is 112.091,37 kb.
My customer needs to download this file. But he has an error:
"Server Error in \Application"
Is the download size limited?
I know that I have to edit the web.config to increase the upload limit.
With small files the modul works fine. But what about the big files?

Thank you for helping.
Bernd

What version of DNN are you using?  The 4.3.x betas had a problem where a large enough file could consume too much memory & cause a problem like this.  Also: Is your web site hosted by a hosting company (some of them have memory-use limits).

I have a problem with large files (well, not that large). I am trying to upload a file that is 7,98 Mb using the Documents module or even the file system of DNN. My version is 4.3.4. The document never gets there. I get a blank page or a browser error page as a result. I am asking the guys from my host if that could be related to some restriction from their side, but I don't think so. Any guess on what is going on? Thanks.

Hi, my ISP support helped me to find out the problem. The problem with big files was not the config in web.config. Well, of course you need to set it up to accept large files. My problem was that the application timed out after waiting some time for the file to upload. My ISP told me that they changed one of DNN settings to allow this kind of upload by setting a longer time-out period. This could be interesting for someone who has had the same problem I've had. I don't know actually where this setting is because I did not mix with the code in this case, but I believe it is in web.config.
