In User Account:
Email validation is a post back action.

In Template creation (new portal):
Email validation is jQuery action.

I don't call this a bug but a feature change.

Can this one to be implemented in the User Account part?

Actually the Email validation is not working correctly in the Edit User Account (Create/modify User).I can submit  somename@abc.con as a valid email.

I can reproduce this behavior in both fresh install and an Upgrade (from 560) site.

the email validation regex in DNN is just a basic one that validates the form of the email address, not whether or not the address could exist. For that to work, you would have to put all TLD's in the regex, which would make it rather large (and no guarantee for complete correctness either).

AFAIK there is no air tight e-mail validation. Finger is the protocol to use if you want to check whether or not an address exists, however, most smtp servers do not support this anymore as an anti spam measure. Next, you could send a verification e-mail, but again, this might be caught by a spam filter....

This is definitely not anything that we plan to change in 6.0.  The validation only determines that an email address is not in the proper format.  Any further validation will occur when the email is sent.
