CTP2
I did a fast test.
My first impression. Better than ctp1 but it feels like using a plastic car. Not like a German or Swedish car. (Not Swedish anymore Chinese)

The Controlpanel and new admin/host menu not so userfriendly ..plastic.
Maybe the scripterror (cant find DDR) isone reason I didnt research it.

Popups nicer but still slower than before. I asume those are easy to style in a skin with a new css.

Some admin pages are better organized and the accordion are useful.

But when some pages loades the page take some time to get in place and that is not userfriendly.

Still old bugs in areas like more than one languages and sitmap and so on but I asume this is a ctp for the UI.

Looking forward to CTP3

Would have to agree the UI feels like a real mess at the moment not at all elegant and slick.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done on the forms layout tool - many of the admin modules look and feel ugly - bordering on unworkable.

Hi,

Just downloaded and installed CTP 3.0.

Been around since the early days and I've always been flexible/happy with what the core introduces version by version.

However, in a light-hearted kind of way I'm going to stand up for all of us, including the Corp. :-)

Here's my two cents.

1). Stop "playing" with UI at the moment and focus on delivering version 6.0 as a stable C Sharp version. Your previews are scaring me - not exciting me!

2). The implementation of new UI on the CTP is so pore it's not even alpha quality. In it's present state it should not be seen outside DNN Corp. Play indoors!

3). The admin forms need reconstruction before you "just" wrap them in a Telerik / jQuery UI popup. you need to rethink them. In fact as they stand they should never see the light of day as popups!

4). If you really want to make an impact with UI, stop and reflect further. Take the time to get it right. It can wait until 6.0.1 or later, even if financial hawks try to dictate otherwise!

DotNetNuke is on the cusp of great things with the anticipated C Sharp release of 6.0. We've even moved all our development over to C Sharp to embrace the big move. I love you guys for pushing the boat and moving mountains.

On this occasion it reminds me of watching the xFactor when someone actually thinks they can sing and when in fact they end up humiliating themselves in front of a world wide audience!

Could not agree more ... The whole point of CTP releases is to give people a sneak preview of the cool new technology that is heading there way.

The first  CTP - was wow look how cool this is - we have converted from VB to C# and it works ... and pretty much everyone went wow thats cool.
This latest CTP however does nothing to make me feel warm and fuzzy about the future of DNN - if anything it does the opposite.
