If you removed the tabbed interface in the pages admin for a reason you missed the point I'm afraid and actually removed functionality. There is now a lot of scrolling involved where the idea was to remove the need for scrolling up and down all the time.

we were focusing on the effort of converting our framework to adopt the new for pattern and of course many things could be improved. I agreed tabs will help speeding up the navigation process, however, the collapse all feature there also aids to find the section quickly.

We will look into improving this in future releases, now we're in the bug-squashing phase and try to provide a solid release.

Again, there are many areas in the framework I'd love to improve the user experience of it, just a matter of time. Thanks for bringing this up, I appreciate it.
