Hi,
DNN6 beta 1

If you have a direct link generated like "EditUrl("MyControl")", it does work.
However, if you have e.g. a button, with a code behind like "Response.Redirect(EditUrl("MyControl"), True)", it does not work. Clicking on the the link does nothing.

Thanks

Note: this happens when one controls calls another. That is, it fails when on the 2nd level or higher
It works fine just for the 1st. level

You have the main module's control. It calls a control (it's opened on the popup). This control calls another (still popup). On this 2nd control, the Response.Redirect(EditUrl("MyControl")) does not work

Just in case, notice that this used to work fine in DNN 4 and DNN 5

Hi,
Can someone confirm this is an 'official' bug that will be addressed (hopefully, before the official 6.0 release)? I've reported it on Gemini, but still haven't got any kind of feedback.
Thanks!

Hi Horacio,

Your Gemini ticket was updated a while back http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=16737&PROJID=2.

Basically we are changing pop up behaviour to minimize impact on module developers.

Thanks,

Jogi

Thanks, Jogi.
I thought I would get email notifications about gemini updates (that was the case in the past), but I didn't get any. This functionality was removed or it just not working.

Back to the issue.
>"Module Developers can then enable the popup support once they have resolved any issues in their module with the functionality."
There is nothing wrong in the module. There is nothing the module could do to 'fix' this. The problem is in the core. If you have one control calling another control, the EditUrl on the 2nd control will not work.
I cannot add this comment on the gemini ticket. I hope you can see the problem, and fix it
thanks
