I didn't know this forum existed so my apologies for adding comments to the blog post with questions about the release.
I performed an upgrade from version 05.05.01 (dev/test copy of our prod environment) to 5.6 beta 2 and it went flawlessly.   I am only having issues with a few 3rd party modules like the Aggregator, and some minor JavaScript errors.

I was wondering why the list of available extensions contains versions of modules which I have already installed and I am using?  Is this a feature or a bug.   I was also wondering if the DarkNight skin / template was available to play with?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Where is the exact area do you see the modules in question? Under Host-->Extensons-->Available Extensions?

Thanks,

Jogi

If there are available extensions for modules you are already using it normally means that there are updates to the modules you currently have installed. We do not automatically install updates to anything other than what is installed by default.

The DarkKnight skin is packaged as part of beta 2 go ahead and pull it out of the install or upgrade package.

Will dark knight work in the 5.x sites? I thought this skin was specific for 6.x and up due to megamenus etc?
