I installed DNN7 Beta on a Server 2008/IIS7/SQL Server 2008 box today. When I click on the new "Edit This Page" button, the page refreshes and I'm still in View mode. I've tried this in Firefox, IE9, and Chrome logged in as Host and the problem happens in all 3.

If I watch the FireFox Error Console, the following Error flashes on the console and then disappears:

<Error><Message>The requested resource does not support http method 'GET'.</Message></Error>
FROM "/DesktopModule/internalservices/API/controlbar/ToggleUserMode"

Also noticed when I try to do a "Add New Module", I go into some kind of endless refresh loop where the page keeps refreshing itself and I never get to the point where I'm actually able to add a module.

Can you please set log4net to All to capture additional diagnostics (service initialisation and errors are recorded there) - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W...

I can confirm this as well. From 5 separate installations on separate PCs, two behaved as mentioned and suffered from endless refresh loop. We continued to see what's different between installs and couldn't pinpoint to anything; exact same hardware/software configuration.

It turns out that we if we disable cookies then it doesn't refresh but then we're forced out (log out). We were finally able to get around this issue by creating an admin user and logging with those credentials instead of the default host credentials.

I've set Log4Net to ALL mode but haven't gotten any new errors in the log since I did that. The Edit and Add New Module problems are still happening. So far, in the Log I've just got 6 instances of this error:
