I have a (very long) jQuery file from Infragistics that I believe I need to 'convert' from the $ syntax to the jQuery term... because at the moment the elegant Infragistics controls don't always operate in DotNetNuke....

Problem is, The use of the $ sign is extensive and in several ways... is there a defintive replacement statement I can use?

.. I've seen an  example of:

1. $(document) = jQuery(document)

2. $( ||phrase||) = jQuery(||phrase||)

Are there more?

For example, not being a jQuery guru.. I'm not sure that function($) should be replaced by function(jQuery)...

.. thanks!

The $ function is an alias for the jQuery function. So, they are the same.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Mark.

Appreciate that they are synonyms but your answer doesn't definitively answer my question (sorry).

I'm not an expert (in any way) in the jQuery syntax, so I just needed to understand if the replacements I mentioned were the only ones required.... or are there more?

Thanks

Regards,
Duncan.
