I have asked in this forum and as a comment at the community blog with no help. I was thinking about the module contest and hopefully a few good open source modules will come out of it and the DNN community will benefit but then it it occurred to me there's one undesirable outcome until the end of the contest. I don't  think the contestants, the ones going through the pain of learning SPA and MVC module development in these DNN 8 early stages, have any incentive in helping others if the goal is winning cash and competing against others.  While I have no plans entering the contest, I do want to develop a module I can learn from while building it. However so far my experience has been disappointing. From the lack of the clear documentations with examples  (I have read every blog and watched every video from Joe and Charles) and failure to create a simple one to the lack of support in the community.

I stopped working on it until the templates are done or even until the contest is done and DNN 8 is out.
