I want to create a consistancy on client or user permission pages that have three things. One, a place where they can upload files to thier allowed folder in the file manager. Two, to download files from their allowed folder in file manager. Three, a log that I provide with like an autoscroll of just simple text to show sort of like a work diary for each user/client and have this maybe in 3 modules?....on one page.

For number one, I am hopeless, I tried the document module and no luck with uploads unless I give them edit permissions in the document module which cant happen.

For number two, thought this was a no-brainer, but I created a folder for a certain user (registered user) even view and edit on that particular folder in the file manager and then in the client/register user designated paged, dropped the document module and the download links only come up in the edit mode of the administrator. I do realize there is a gold padlock on the view document module and went into users and roles and could not find how to allow this register/user to view the module and not edit it, even though put allowed edit and still no download link.

For three, have not invested anything in, not even sure what I am talking about, I guess like a simple text scrolling ( lined like a notepad) sort of reel, that they can browse down to see the documentation or work done for them, just though I through it in here in case someone replies with, just dowload the free document log module and your done, which would be lucky, but again probably would not show because the clients are not viewing interactive portions of these modules because of padlocks and whatever.
