Here's something that I'm kind of , uhm...  'Off' on: How do I go about embedding stuff like Flash or Java in DNN?

I'm well versed at the HTML/ JS/ AS/ Flash/ PHP/ etc, bit, but now, getting heavier into DNN, I'm curious if you can embed the same way.

Basically, I'm looking at embedding stuff like 'LightShow/ LightBox' and/ or 'CoolIris,' for a client, but am not really sure if it integrates the same.

Any help?

Thanks.

Hi Anthony -

You can typically do this directly in the text/html editor - you can either work in source mode or the editor also can assist with embedding objects.  GIven that you have good scripting experience I would think this would be the easiest.

If you need to embed in the skin where there is no pane, that would require editing the skin directly to create a pane for placement or embedding the code in the skin.

Good Luck!

Noel

Hey, Noel...

That's kinda what I thought, about the embedding bit, but wasn't really sure.  I mean, I GUESS I could've just done the coding and hoped for thebest...

Heheheh... Not how I like to do things, but sometimes, it's necessary.

Thanks,  I appreviate it.
