I am not new to Dotnetnuke but this is a new issue to me so here goes.

Recently I have been finding many modules I like. Now for the problem I am having and I hope this already is in existance as it would simplfy my community and it intergration.

I was wondering if Dotnetnuke is going to put together a seperate cart from its store module. Reason being is that I am running accross many developers all with a great module but not a common cart. I think that Dotnetnuke should have a common cart that all develpopers should surround and develop around. Not to muddy up the waters with everyone having their own version of the wheel. Of course each developer like catalook and others will have many other features and enhancments. that is why people buy them.

For example I have a Auction Module, Classified Module, Events Module, Portal Sign up Module. All very good but they all have one fault. None of them use a common DNN Shopping Cart. Seperate from all other things but uniting all things just the same. Were each module can take the person through it's service or feature only coming to the shopping cart to confirm payment. Once payment is confirmed and completed the item or serives that the person has purchase is then completed. This would simply the use of payment gateways and paypal use as well. You could then have multiple modules using one payment service. I find more often then not the develper needs your ipn and return url only to find out you need another paypal account or merchant accout to use another module. It is very frustrating but I am sure DNN will come up with the right choices to solve this problem sooner or later.
